Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Gives An Update On His Cancer Treatment, ‘The Chemo Is Working’

Blink-128’s Mark Hoppus has shared an update on his health status for his fans, saying that his chemotherapy treatment appears to be working.

As you may already know, Mark Hoppus had announced that he has been battling cancer back on June 23. More recently, on July 12, he had revealed that a test he will undergo will determine if he is going to live or not.

Also, during a live stream on his Twitch channel, Hoppus said that the test will be the factor in evaluating if his chemotherapy is working. Saying he still has a minimum of three rounds of chemo to go, the frontman had revealed that he was diagnosed with 4-A diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

Mark Hoppus recently posted a tweet aiming to inform his fans about his current health status and announced that his scans revealed that the chemo is working. He then said he still has months of treatment to go through and that he feels grateful, confused, and sick from last week’s chemo.

The musician also added that the kind wishes he has been receiving from his loved ones and fans alongside the ‘poison’ that the doctors are pumping into him is destroying his cancer and added that he is going to keep fighting no matter what.

Hoppus’ tweet read:

Scans indicate that the chemo is working! I still have months of treatment ahead, but it’s the best possible news. I’m so grateful and confused and also sick from the last week’s chemo. But the poison the doctors pump into me and the kind thoughts and wishes of people around me are destroying this cancer. Just gonna keep fighting…”
