“Under his doctor’s instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period,” the statement continued. “Billy is thankful for the excellent care he is receiving and is fully committed to prioritizing his health. He is grateful for the support from fans during this time and looks forward to the day when he can once again take the stage.”

The diagnosis has created significant changes in his performance schedule. This development comes at a challenging time for the musician and his fans.

Brooklyn Vegan reported that Joel experienced a fall onstage in February. This incident initially led to performance postponements through June.

NBC New York highlighted the extensive impact of these cancellations. The affected venues include Yankee Stadium, MetLife Stadium, and Citi Field, along with several international performances.

People magazine confirmed that ticket holders will receive automatic refunds for the canceled shows. No action will be required from ticket holders.

6ABC noted that medical professionals conducted a comprehensive review of Joel’s health condition. This evaluation led to the precautionary cancellations to ensure his complete recovery.

Joel’s return to performing will depend on his recovery progress.
