Billy Idol recently sat down with AXS TV to talk about his latest EP, ‘The Cage’ and share how it was to have a cameo in ‘The Wedding Singer’ with Adam Sandler; he explained:

“It was really fun doing that part, I’ve got to say. When we weren’t shooting, of course, Adam [Sandler] in his trailer, he had like a bass drum and guitar setup, so we were jamming in between doing the little pieces of filming we were doing, so it was a double thing.”

Besides the jamming he did with Sandler in between takes, the singer had also brought his son to set; he continued:

“It was Halloween too, and I brought my son, who was about eight or nine; his friend and Adam had like just tons of candies in his fridge and just loaded up my son and his friends with tons of candy. Then the director let my son sit next to him when we were shooting the parts, so he really got to see how they shoot a movie and everything.”

Other than chatting about ‘The Wedding Singer,’ Billy also gave details about his newest EP, ‘The Cage’ which came out last year, where the singer turned his personal history and lived experiences like drug addiction into rock songs, and you can listen to it below to get a better taste.
