Chris Hemsworth recently shared an Instagram video showing him and his brothers playing a messy cover of Green Day’s ‘Good Riddance.’ Billie Joe Armstrong reacted to the video by sharing it on his Instagram stories and joking about the actor’s drumming skills.
Hemsworth pounded the drums off rhythm, as the Green Day vocalist commented:
“Hey, Thor. Don’t quit your day job.”
Hemsworth’s Holiday Cover

The actor’s video came shortly after his family’s Monday Christmas celebration at their Byron Bay pad. As his brothers, Liam and Luke, accompanied him by playing a classical guitar and screaming the lyrics, Hemsworth himself poked fun at their cover attempt.
In the caption of his post, he wrote:
“Christmas album had just dropped; thanks for the inspiration, Green Day.”
Not The First Time He Played A Rock Song

Before this, Hemsworth had covered Nine Inch Nails’ ‘Hurt’ by singing and playing in Johnny Cash’s style to get into his role as Thor in ‘Avengers: Endgame.’ He even showed a recording of it on ‘The Tonight Show’ back in 2019.
About his performance, the actor said:
“I didn’t know if I was ever going to show it. Because it was in the trailer, in between a few takes. It’s the saddest song in the world. And I’m a terrible singer and a terrible guitarist.”
