Avril Lavigne Says She’s Been Dying To Cover Adele’s ‘Hello’

Avril Lavigne recently covered one of Adele’s most famous songs, ‘Hello,’ and revealed that she extremely wanted to release her version of this song.

Over the years, Avril Lavigne became an impactful musician in improving the pop-punk genre. Her style has significantly influenced the rock scene, especially the young female generation. The rocker’s debut album entitled ‘Let Go,’ which included her signature songs like ‘Complicated’ and ‘Sk8er Boi,’ became one of the best-selling releases in the 2000s.

Lavigne escalated her success with upcoming records such as ‘Under My Skin’ and ‘The Best Damn Thing,’ which reached the high places on the charts. On February 25, 2022, her seventh studio album, ‘Love Sux,’ came out. She collaborated with Travis Barker and Machine Gun Kelly on this album. The record received many positive reviews from music critics and reached the top ten in various countries’ charts.

The Pop Punk Queen’s ‘Hello’ cover by Adele and ‘Love Sux’ from her Spotify Singles series came out. Having also covered John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ in the past, the rock star was happy to make an Adele cover. As reported, Lavigne wanted to create the cover version of Adele’s ‘Hello’ for a while, and thanks to Spotify Singles, she realized her dream.

“I love Adele’s song ‘Hello’ and have been dying to do a cover of it. The Spotify Singles sessions were a fun opportunity to finally do this cover as well as reimagine my song ‘Love Sux’ as an acoustic version.”
