In a new conversation with NME, Austin Butler shared the one Radiohead album he can’t stop listening to, alongside his ‘Dune: Part 2’ co-star Timothée Chalamet’s musical preferences.
During their discussion about the upcoming ‘Dune: Part 2’, Butler and Chalamet were asked about their current musical obsessions. Butler’s choice was Radiohead’s ‘In Rainbows.’ He noted:
“It’s an old faithful that I have listened to more than any other album. But ‘In Rainbows’ by Radiohead. I just recently have just been playing that over and over. And ‘Chet Baker Sings.'”
The Universal Appeal Of ‘In Rainbows’

He continued, detailing his response:
“I think ‘In Rainbows’ is a perfect album and almost for any mood. It makes me feel so much, and I just love it. Chet Baker, same thing. It’s just the sound of his voice and it’s another one that’s from beginning to end it’s just perfect. I just love it.”
Chalamet, on the other hand, expressed his admiration for The Beatles’ 2023 reissue of the ‘Blue’ album.
The Eclectic Taste Of Austin Butler

In a separate conversation with Rolling Stone in 2023, Butler gave further insight into his musical tastes. His playlist includes a variety of artists, as he disclosed:
“I listen to a lot of Chet Baker. I listen to a lot of Radiohead. Miles Davis. I’m constantly listening to new music as well but those are the go-tos that I listen to in my home a lot. It depends on which mood you’re trying to get into. D’Angelo is one of my favorite musicians as well, and you know, at a certain point in the evening, D’Angelo just feels right when you’re having a dinner party or something like that. Or in the morning, having Chet Baker on as the sun is just coming up, I think, is perfect.”
Butler, known for his portrayal of Elvis Presley in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 film ‘Elvis,’ continues to make waves in the film industry with his role in Denis Villeneuve’s ‘Dune: Part 2’. The film hit cinemas on February 29. Fans can also look forward to seeing him in the upcoming film ‘The Bikeriders’, set to premiere in UK cinemas on June 21.
