Amott explained that the band released a new song featuring Hart before starting their touring schedule. He also described how the band is balancing live performances with work on fresh material for their next record.

“We did kind of put together one song [‘To The Last Breath’, which came out in February] very quickly when Lauren joined ’cause we felt it was important to showcase her voice on her own song and have that out there for the fans to enjoy before we hit the road,” Amott said.

“And then since then, now we’re booking… There’s been such an enormous interest in booking us for live stuff, for touring all over the world, and the reaction was so strong, so now we’re just kind of doing that. And I think it’s kind of cool to go out on the road and really become a really solid unit and solidify that partnership. I compare it… It’s like we’re getting to know each other before we buy a house. And then we’re slowly working on a new album as well.”

He continued, “So that’s in the works. But we’re doing that in between in the little gaps. But we are working on it. But I think it really has to be a great album. It should be great songs, great music and just feel right. So, yeah, it takes a bit of time. It doesn’t just happen like that.”

Amott made these comments while discussing Arch Enemy’s current plans following Hart’s arrival in the band.

Lauren Hart brought significant experience to her new role. Originally from the United States but raised in Australia, she performed as a guest vocalist on Kamelot tours and contributed backing vocals to DragonForce. She led vocals for Divine Heresy, a project by Fear Factory guitarist Dino Cazares, and is known for her use of guttural vocals and aggressive growls alongside clean melodic lines, a combination suited to melodic death metal and metalcore.

Hart replaced Alissa White-Gluz, who departed Arch Enemy in November 2025 after more than 10 years with the band. Hart’s announcement in February 2026 ended months of speculation following the departure of the previous frontwoman. The band moved quickly after Hart joined, recording “To The Last Breath” in the studio and performing their first live show with her on March 27, 2026, at the East 3 Live House in Beijing, China.

Arch Enemy confirmed an intimate European club tour called “Back To The Root Of All Evil” for summer 2026, featuring rare UK club dates to celebrate the announcement. “To The Last Breath” marked the first new material since the band’s 2025 album Blood Dynasty, which was released on 28 March 2025 as their twelfth studio album. The new song served as an introduction to Hart’s voice and style while the band built momentum ahead of their touring schedule.
