Arch Enemy guitarist Michael Amott has spoken about the band’s new era with singer Lauren Hart after parting ways with Alissa White-Gluz. He shared his thoughts in a statement posted on Instagram.
The guitarist expressed gratitude for fan support and revealed how the band feels about their current direction with the new lineup.
“Just wanted to reach out and say thank you for the massive support for the new lineup of Arch Enemy and our single ‘To The Last Breath,'” Amott said. “It’s been beyond beautiful and truly heartwarming.”
He continued to share the band’s current mindset and upcoming plans.
“The band feels rejuvenated and highly motivated as we now prepare for the first shows of 2026, hitting China, Japan & Brazil!” he continued. “Talk is cheap, and any real metal band ultimately thrives or dies on the live stage — so bring it on!”
Amott also addressed fans’ expectations for future tour dates.
“I know many of you are waiting for us to bring the show to your country, and believe me—we want to make that happen,” he said. “We’re working hard behind the scenes and there’s a lot to look forward to. The European shows and festivals this summer are just the beginning… more will be revealed at the right time. Thanks again for your incredible support! See you soon.”
The band is set to begin their 2026 tour dates in Asia and South America before heading to European festivals this summer.
This announcement comes as Arch Enemy continues to establish their new identity following significant lineup changes that have reshaped the Swedish metal legends.
Kerrang! reported that Alissa White-Gluz departed from Arch Enemy in November 2025, marking the end of her tenure with the band. The departure led to weeks of intense fan speculation about who would fill the vocalist position. Many wondered if the band would continue or potentially reunite with a former member.
In February 2026, Loudwire confirmed that Arch Enemy officially revealed Lauren Hart, formerly of Once Human, as their new singer. Hart becomes the band’s fourth vocalist overall, taking over the role that has previously been held by Johan Liiva, Angela Gossow, and most recently White-Gluz. The announcement came alongside the release of their new single “To The Last Breath.” This marks the band’s first new music since their March 2025 album “Blood Dynasty.”
The speculation period was particularly intense. Louder Sound noted that teaser videos had sparked rumors of Angela Gossow’s return to the band. However, these rumors were ultimately proven false when Hart was revealed as the new vocalist. Gossow, who currently manages the band, had denied the return rumors during the speculation period.
Michael Amott described the new single as “a reckoning” that aligns with the band’s original vision, praising Hart’s voice, dedication, and professionalism. The track features classic melodic death metal elements including chugging riffs, solos, and screams. It includes an official music video directed by Patric Ullaeus. The band has also announced their “Back to the Root of All Evil” European club tour for summer 2026. The tour will include stops at Manchester’s Rebellion on August 11 and London’s Underworld.
Meanwhile, former vocalist Alissa White-Gluz has moved forward with her own musical endeavors. She launched a solo project with Napalm Records and released the single “The Room Where She Died” following her departure from Arch Enemy.
