Ann and Nancy Wilson, the sisters of Heart, recently reunited on stage for their first concert for Heart in over four years on December 27, 2023, at the Yaamava’ Resort & Casino in Highland, California. They delivered a rendition of Led Zeppelin’s ‘Stairway to Heaven,’ to close out, reprising their famous performance of the song at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2012. The band is scheduled to play additional shows in Palm Desert, California and Seattle, Washington. Heart’s reunion will be in full swing when the band joins Def Leppard and Journey on their 2024 North American stadium tour.

Ann Said Heart Would Continue On One Condition
About a month before the new California concert, Ann Wilson announced Heart’s only condition to continue performing. In a conversation with 96.1 KLPX, Ann Wilson shared insights into Heart’s future while discussing her schedule with her group, Tripsitter. She expressed that the continuation of Heart largely depends on these upcoming shows. She said:
“We’re gonna see how it works with the Heart thing, whether it feels like a level up. If it does feel like a level up, then we’ll keep doing it. But that’s what it has to be. It can’t just slide down into jukebox time… It’s gotta be real.”
She firmly rejected the idea of merely going through the motions or capitalizing on nostalgia. Instead, Wilson insisted on a fresh approach:
“No going through the motions. No phoning it in. No just getting on some kind of circuit just to take people’s money and play the old songs again and again and again. No, we’re gonna make it cool, really make it cool.”
Ann Sisters Are Writing New Music
The Wilson sisters, returned to their creative roots and spent the summer working together on new music. Nancy Wilson shared exciting news in June in an interview with Joe Rock of Long Island 102.3 WBAB. Nancy revealed that while touring with her band, Nancy Wilson’s Heart, she has been working on new music with Ann as well. Nancy described this period as a highly creative phase and shared her plans to focus more intensively on completing new material with Ann once her tour concluded.
She explained her future plans like this:
“But I’ve got a bunch of new ideas for songs. But I’ve also been writing new music with Ann too. So it’s a real creative time. I think being on the tour right now, when I get home, I’m gonna really dig into the other projects, including finishing some new material with Ann. So it’s really a good time to be creative.”
