Andy Biersack reacted to Black Veil Brides missing the 2024 Best Rock/Metal Songs list.
“Huge thanks to Loudwire for including our song ‘Bleeders’ on this list! (It is not on the list),” the singer wrote in his message on X as he reposted Loudwire’s pick for the 67 Best Rock and Metal Songs of 2024.
When a fan asked Biersack, “How do we get you on that list?” he replied, “We don’t Kat. It’s over. We will have to write another song that has millions of streams and spends months in the top 10 at rock radio next year and pray for a list.”
“Well there’s definitely some songs that don’t deserve to be on this list… so i can’t trust the reliability,” another fan commented. Andy responded again, “Nah no need to talk sh*t on others art. All of it is great and worthy I’m just trying to make you laugh Saryna.”
Black Veil Brides started working on their seventh album after 2021’s ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’ and 2024’s ‘Bleeders’ EP. They headed to the studio to record after their big London show on October 30.
“‘Bleeders’ was written in the context of writing other new material, so it’s definitely where we’re heading – particularly Jake from a guitar perspective,” Biersack told Kerrang! in September. “Also, there’s clear growth in production terms.”
The frontman added, “Jake has become unbelievable in that department. He’s learned so much about building out songs and all the stuff that goes into the eventual ear candy. We’re in a position now where we can do so much more with the dual thread of Jake being able to add electronic stuff, and then Jinxx coming in with the more orchestral side.”
“We just realised that it’s nearly three years since [last album] ‘The Phantom Tomorrow’ came out. We were talking about it the other day and didn’t realise how long it had been, but then the world has been so odd this past couple of years, and we’ve done so much touring,” Andy explained.
He concluded, “But we’ve liked the idea of doing the two EPs because it’s an opportunity to do different types of stuff. Also, with this next album, you’re going to see more of it – songs, videos – before the full record actually comes out…”
It isn’t known yet when Black Veil Brides’ new album will arrive. The band’s Australian tour will start on March 11 in Perth. They will have four more shows in Australia.
