Andy Biersack Decides Not To Engage In ‘Dumb Drama’ Anymore

Anyone would want to clap back to false narratives and defend themselves, especially if you’re a well-known artist. However, just like Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack shared with his fans on Twitter as his New Year’s resolution, it gets you nowhere to get riled up over drama. Instead, it’s wiser to focus on being yourself and keep doing what you love with the people supporting you along the way.

“Since I was a little kid, I have always had a tendency to get riled up about what I perceive to be mean or nasty things said about me or anyone I care about,” Biersack wrote about his tendency to stand up for what he perceived to be true. “I’ve done a lot of work to try to curb the urge to snap back or lose my cool for some sense of justice or whatever, but sometimes, like anyone, I just want to say something.”

Nobody is perfectly calm and collected all the time, and it is hard not to get affected by things being said about them or someone around them. So there have been times when Andy couldn’t keep it together and had moments on stage where he snapped and got angry and said some things he should have kept to himself. But everything we learn comes with experience, so now the singer is on the journey to avoid drama and not be inclined to reply to everything written or said about him on the internet.

He continued, “This tour has been an incredible experience, and we are all so thankful for the opportunity to be a part of TOT. I am so excited for these final few shows and to end it with a bang. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people to spend my life with on the road, and we couldn’t ask for a better fan base to share our art with.”

Andy shared his new approach, writing, “Anyway, I’m going to try to let shit slide a little more and not engage in dumb drama, and at the risk of sounding preachy or like I have any of life’s answers, I’d advise you guys to give it a try as well. Life’s too short to spend it diving into the depths of anger and hatred to try to prove your point or perspective; better to spend your time with your head held high and holding on to what you love.”

Black Veil Brides have been on the Trinity of Terror tour with Motionless in White, and Ice Nine Kills, which has been a massive hit. Biersack is happy to focus on that rather than waste energy on drama. He is aware that it cannot impact his life if he doesn’t give it the power to do so.
