Alice Cooper guitarist Nita Strauss and her husband Josh Villalta have announced they are expecting their first child together. They shared the exciting news on Instagram.
The couple married in May 2024 at The Hollywood Roosevelt hotel in Los Angeles, California. They expressed their joy about the upcoming arrival of their baby boy.
“Looks like 2026 will be the best year yet. We’ve waited so long for this miracle and now the time is finally here!” Strauss said.
“He will come into this world surrounded by so much love! So excited to meet our little man this summer,” she continued.
The announcement marks a significant milestone for the couple. Their first child is expected to arrive during the summer of 2026.
Strauss, 39, has established herself as one of rock music’s most accomplished female guitarists throughout her career. Louder Sound reported that she became the first female solo artist to achieve a No. 1 single on rock radio with her 2021 track “Dead Inside.”
Her groundbreaking achievements extend beyond chart success. Inkl noted that Strauss became Ibanez guitars’ first female signature artist in 2018. This achievement cemented her status as a trailblazer in the industry.
Strauss has been a member of Alice Cooper’s band since 2014, when she replaced Orianthi. Her tenure with the shock rock legend has been marked by electrifying performances and global tours. These performances have showcased her exceptional guitar skills to audiences worldwide.
In 2022, she temporarily stepped away from Alice Cooper’s band to join pop star Demi Lovato’s touring lineup. This move demonstrated her versatility across different musical genres. WWE highlighted that she has also performed at major events, including WWE Evolution, the first-ever all-women’s pay-per-view. She delivered an electrifying performance alongside Halestorm at this event.
Her career has also included collaborations with various artists. She has toured with Jermaine Jackson and performed with the Los Angeles Rams’ band. These experiences showcase her adaptability and broad appeal across different entertainment platforms.
