Adam Lambert Releases His Cover Of Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Holding Out For A Hero!’

Queen frontman Adam Lambert had recently announced his new album ‘High Drama.’ Even though we don’t know much about the details, he has started dropping some singles to give us an idea of what’s coming. The final drop was Bonnie Tyler’s ‘Holding Out For a Hero.’ Lambert announced the song on his social media accounts. He also thanked Ballet Boys and ITV for their collaboration in an Instagram post.

“Thanks to the Ballet Boys and ITV for collaborating with me on this premiere performance of ‘Holding Out For a Hero!’” exclaimed Lambert, giving his final New Year’s gift to his fans, who have been excitedly waiting for the new record. The vocalist also wished, “Happy New Year!”

In Adam Lambert’s version, we see Bonnie Tyler’s ’80s pop classic reincarnated with more synth-pop tunes. The classic piano sound was swapped with a synth-driven bass and guitar section in Lambert’s rendition, which slows down the song’s initially frantic tempo. The singer’s vocals maintain the original glam-rock feel, thanks to Lambert’s distinctive growl, and pervade Lambert’s touch throughout the song.

High Drama’ will be a collection of covers on which the Queen star will reimagine both classic and contemporary favorites. Stating that he has discovered who he is and who he is not musically, the frontman said that we would see that in this album as well. In this new chapter of his life, we will get a better look at the music of Adam Lambert. He had also said that this album would be full of surprises and variety. We can see this pretty clearly in the details revealed so far.

Among the covers announced so far are ‘Getting Older’ by Billie Eilish, ‘Ordinary World’ by Duran Duran, ‘I Can’t Stand the Rain’ by Ann Peebles, ‘West Coast’ by Lana Del Rey, ‘My Attic’ by Pink, and others. The album is almost two months away, and its release is scheduled on February 24.
