Adam Lambert Expects That He’ll Back On The Stage With Queen In Summer Of 2021
Queen’s touring frontman Adam Lambert posted a picture from one of his performances with Queen on Instagram and revealed that he wishes to be able to perform live in front of the fans this summer.
As you might recall, back in 2009, Brian May and Roger Taylor appeared as guests on the famous show American Idol‘s eighth season. Adam Lambert was still a contestant on the show when he had the chance to perform with Queen legends. Following his performance of ‘We Are The Champions,’ May revealed they were actually considering Adam Lambert as a lead singer for Queen.
Later in 2014, the band announced the tour dates for Queen + Adam Lambert including their performances in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and South America. Queen’s third worldwide tour with Adam Lambert, The Rhapsody Tour, started back in 2019 and the European dates were scheduled for the summer of 2020. However, they had to postpone the rest of their tour dates to 2021 after the coronavirus pandemic broke out earlier in 2020.
While fans were curious about whether Queen would be able to perform live any time soon, Adam Lambert recently shared a short statement that will raise the fans’ hopes. Lambert posted a picture of himself with Brian May on stage via Instagram stories and mentioned that he actually missed his Queen family. Adam also stated that he was hoping to get back on stage in the summer of 2021 like it was previously announced. Yet, the possibility of the tour still seems ambiguous considering the dangerous progression of Covid-19 around the world.
Here is what Adam Lambert stated in his recent Instagram story:
“Missing my Queen fam… Hoping we can get back on stage for all of you this summer.”
