The announcement also provided details about ticket sales and the tour’s special guests.

“Much to the delight of legions of fans across Australia, the legendary GRAMMY Award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Fame-inducted band will perform in stadiums around the country with tickets going on sale at staggered times on Thursday, 26 June,” the statement continued. “Joining AC/DC as special guests on the tour is Australian rock band Amyl and the Sniffers.”

The tour marks AC/DC’s return to Australian stages after a nine-year absence. Tickets are set to go on sale later this week.

AC/DC continues their global Power Up Tour. This Australian tour announcement comes as the band has been performing at major venues worldwide throughout 2025.

Last week, Blunt Magazine reported that, according to the industry chatter, AC/DC’s upcoming Australian tour might be their last.

Setlist.fm reported that AC/DC has been actively touring in the U.S. with recent performances at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The band has also performed at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. This demonstrates their continued ability to fill major stadium venues across different markets.

The choice of Amyl and the Sniffers as special guests reflects AC/DC’s support for Australian rock music. The Melbourne-based band has gained international recognition for their energetic live performances and gritty punk-rock sound. This makes them a fitting complement to AC/DC’s high-energy stadium shows.

The Power Up Tour format has proven successful for AC/DC in their recent performances. The band has been utilizing elaborate stage productions designed specifically for stadium venues. This setup allows for the kind of high-energy experience that Australian fans have been waiting nearly a decade to witness. It promises an unforgettable return for one of rock’s most enduring acts.

The November and December dates will mark a significant moment for Australian rock fans. AC/DC’s last tour of their home country in 2015 was part of their Rock or Bust World Tour. This makes the upcoming series of shows a long-awaited homecoming.
