Aaron Lewis Accuses Bruce Springsteen Of Acting Like Someone Else

Staind’s lead vocalist Aaron Lewis spoke in the Candace show and talked about his 2021 song ‘Am I the Only One.’ He also revealed why he mentioned Bruce Springsteen’s name in the lyrics and explained his anger towards left-wing activists.

The aforementioned song was released on July 2021 as his solo single. In the lyrics of the song, he mentioned the all-time known singer Springsteen negatively. He asked, ‘Am I the only one who quits singing along every time they play a Springsteen song?’ As it turns out, the inspiration for this line came after a joke Springsteen made in 2020.

Before the presidential elections in the States in 2020, Springsteen made it obvious in an interview that he doesn’t want Trump to be re-elected. He jokingly stated that he would move to Ireland if Trump were to become the US president again. This angered Lewis and made him write a song about it. According to him, it’s not American to leave the country just because the president doesn’t support your political views.

Here is what Lewis thinks of Springsteen:

“Because he’s always portrayed himself as the all-American middle-class guy. And during all of this craziness, he said that if one man is re-elected to the office of the presidency that he was gonna move to Australia.”

He asked:

“How American is that? You’re gonna bail on America just because you don’t like the guy that may have gotten into office?”

Springsteen, although born American, has Irish and Italian roots. Before the presidential election, he was confident that Joe Biden would win, but he stated in a funny tone that just in case, he is considering moving to Ireland. Lewis took this seriously and channeled his anger to his music.
