Zakk Wylde revealed Black Label Society’s touring plans will be on hold until 2026. He made this announcement during a recent interview with Scott Davidson of Chicago’s Rebel Radio 92.5 FM.

The scheduling decision stems from Wylde’s ongoing commitment to the Pantera celebration tour.

“So in between, by the time BLACK LABEL starts touring in 2026 sometime… ‘Cause, obviously, I’m committed to, with the fellas, [touring] with the PANTERA celebration,” Wylde said. “So we’re not gonna be doing anything [touring-wise with BLACK LABEL SOCIETY] until 2026. So just keep writing away… And then, when we’re good and ready, we go out.”

The band will focus on writing new material during this touring hiatus.

Wylde’s dedication to honoring Pantera’s legacy continues through an extensive touring schedule.

Reports from Blabbermouth detailed the scope of the upcoming 2025 Pantera celebration tour. The summer U.S. amphitheater tour will feature support from Amon Amarth and cover more than two dozen cities.

Wylde’s dedication to the Pantera celebration became evident through his remarkable perseverance. Vice documented his recent performance on the Pantera tour with a broken hand. He managed to play with just three fingers for over a month.

The guitarist credited Dimebag Darrell’s playful influence for his resilient performance. This connection showcases his deep personal bond with Pantera’s legacy.

The extended Pantera celebration tour commitment demonstrates Wylde’s respect for the band’s history. This period will also give Black Label Society time to develop new material before returning to the stage.
