Zakk Wylde recently commented on Rush’s planned return to the stage. He addressed the band’s upcoming tour in a statement shared on Loudwire.

When asked about Rush’s return for the Rush Fifty Something Tour in 2026, Wylde emphasized the enduring nature of the band’s legacy. He stressed the importance of continuing their musical mission.

“That’s what Neil [Peart] would want,” Wylde said. “I think that all the bands that we love or all the artists—the music is bigger than the people who wrote it, you know what I mean. It’s timeless music that they created that really lifts so many people up and brings joy into their lives. It’s great.”

Wylde’s remarks reflect a broader perspective on how iconic bands can continue their legacies while honoring the memory of departed members. Rush’s decision to tour again marks a historic moment for the legendary Canadian rock band. Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson are preparing to take the stage for the first time in over a decade.

The official Rush website reveals that the Fifty Something Tour will commence on June 7, 2026, at The Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The tour represents a celebration of Rush’s music, legacy, and the life of late drummer and lyricist Neil Peart, who passed away in January 2020. For this historic tour, Rush has enlisted German drummer, composer, and producer Nilles to accompany the band. Geddy Lee will handle bass, keys, and vocals, while Alex Lifeson will perform on guitar and vocals.

The demand for tickets has been extraordinary. Due to incredible demand, Rush has expanded the tour to include 17 new cities. Additional shows have been added in major markets including Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Toronto, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Edmonton, Seattle, and Vancouver. The tour will span across Canada, the United States, and Mexico, ensuring fans across North America have the opportunity to witness this momentous reunion.

For fans eager to secure tickets, general on-sale for newly announced shows begins on October 31 for the U.S. and Canada. Artist presale opportunities are available through livemu.sc/rush.
