A post Zak Starkey made in April this year has gone viral on X.
In April this year, Ringo Starr’s son shared a post with John Lennon’s son, Sean Ono Lennon, after which he was seen to have refused a proposal about working with both Sean and Dhani Harrison, son of George Harrison. The post was recently shared by a fan on X for finding it so funny that it eventually went viral.
How It All Started?

The conversation began when Starkey shared a photo of himself with Sean Lennon on his Instagram account, recalling their time spent together. With the photo, he wrote:
“What a guy (although he looks completely insane here and he is and so are we) it was so great that Sean invited us to hang at the Dakota and actually get to know each other a bit. We had a gas and I have to say being in the apartment, Sshh and I experienced such an overwhelming feeling of love that we didn’t wanna leave. Thanks brother see you soon.”
In the comments, a fan proposed the idea of taking their friendship to the next level by starting a new music project, not only with Lennon but also with the son of George Harrison as well.
In response to this suggestion, Starkey dismissed the idea, preventing fans from getting their hopes up. Clarifying that they did not grow up like their fathers did, he replied to the user:
“If we had spent 3 years sleeping on flea infested mattresses in the back room of a Hamburg club it might have chemistry – but we have been swaddled in silken robes in houses so big that it’s too far to go and make a piece of toast – seen?”
What Made It Go Viral?

Although the post is now 7 months old, the fan found Starkey’s comment about refusing a possible project so funny that she shared it on X. The fan shared Starky’s Instagram post as a screenshot and included his comment, and wrote the following description:
“The way Zak Starkey shuts down a Beatles kids project is so f*cking funny I can’t get past it.”
Another user commented on the now-viral X post:
“He really pulled the maybe if we trauma bonded like our dads but not possible.”
