Yungblud, who recently collaborated with Aerosmith on the song “My Only Angel,” announced he will be making a major announcement within hours. This sparked speculation among Aerosmith fans that it could involve a joint farewell tour, as shown in a post shared on Instagram.
The British artist teased fans with a cryptic message about upcoming plans in the United States and Canada.
“Home but not for long. USA and CANADA, this FRIDAY I’m making my biggest announcement to date. Still coming down from the past six weeks,” Yungblud wrote. “If I was to come back soon, what cities would you want us to play?”
He also celebrated the success of his recent collaboration with the legendary rock band.
“P.S. to find out that ‘My Only Angel’ went straight in at number 1 in hard rock across America is truly mind-blowing. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart,” he added.
Aerosmith fans on Reddit have been connecting the dots. They noted that Yungblud has three scheduled dates in the US Northeast in November and that his announcement was pushed back to Friday, possibly indicating coordination with another party.
“Pure speculation, but Yungblud already had 3 super random dates scheduled in the US Northeast in November,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “He’d also announced yesterday he had ‘the biggest announcement of his life’ today, but this morning he said the news has been pushed back to Friday. That would probably indicate that he’s coordinating with someone beyond his own manager?”
The speculation gained momentum after recent comments from Aerosmith members hinting at future performances.
“I feel like Aerosmith will do a few shows in November with Yungblud opening and then joining for some of the main set to perform the songs off the EP,” the fan continued. “Helps Steven get through the set, promotes the EP, serves as a farewell. Kinda just makes sense to me.”
Another fan remained cautiously optimistic about the possibility.
“One last show or a few shows announcement is definitely in the cards. Will it involved Yungblud? That remains to be seen,” they wrote.
The collaboration between Yungblud and Aerosmith has been building momentum since earlier this year. This makes the possibility of joint performances increasingly plausible.
uDiscover Music reported that “My Only Angel” was released on September 19, 2025, as part of the EP titled One More Time. The EP features four new songs plus a 2025 mix of Aerosmith’s classic “Back in the Saddle” with vocals from both Steven Tyler and Yungblud. The EP also includes tracks “Problems,” “Wild Woman,” and “A Thousand Days.”
The partnership originated when Yungblud reached out to Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. This led to studio sessions with both Perry and Steven Tyler. This collaboration was preceded by a joint performance at the 2025 Video Music Awards, where Yungblud and Aerosmith members performed an Ozzy Osbourne tribute medley, as The Rock Revival noted.
The timing of Yungblud’s announcement is particularly significant given Aerosmith’s current status. uDiscover Music stated that Aerosmith announced their retirement from touring in August 2024. This makes any future live performances likely to be limited or final in nature. This context adds weight to fan speculation that November shows could serve as a proper farewell for the legendary rock band.
The success of “My Only Angel” reaching number one in hard rock across America has further fueled expectations that the collaboration could extend beyond the studio. The announcement is expected to be made on Friday. This will potentially confirm whether the partnership will include live performances and give fans a chance to witness this unique musical pairing on stage.
