Mötley Crüe frontman Vince Neil posted a series of pictures on Instagram to announce the devastating death of his father and he received many heartwarming messages from the Mötley Crüe family to support him on such a sad day.
As you may know, the talented lead singer had to struggle with many difficulties throughout his personal life and professional career. He has experienced the loss of family members more than once, yet he managed to keep doing what he did best to cope with them, making great music.
Recently on Instagram, Vince posted a series of family pictures and announced the death of his father, Father Clois Odell Wharton, ‘Odie.’ In the caption of his post, Neil stated that he was heartbroken to lose his beloved father who ‘died peacefully surrounded by loved ones.’ While bidding farewell to his 83-year-old father, Vince stated that he was hoping Odie, his mother Shirley, and his late dog Cali would have fun together in heaven.

“With a broken heart I’m sad to say, we lost a beautiful man last night, my Father Clois Odell Wharton, our beloved ‘Odie’.
He died peacefully surrounded by loved ones. He was 83 years young.
We are going to miss you, Dad. Have fun with Mom and Cali in heaven, RIP 3-5-2021💔”
Mötley Crüe family members also showed support to the iconic musician by sending messages in the comment section of his Instagram post. His longtime friend and co-founder of the band, Nikki Sixx wrote a comment stating that he loved dearly Vince’s late parents while Mick Mars‘ wife Seraina wished him ‘tons of strength’ on behalf of Mick as well. Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan Lee also sent a message to Neil by mentioning how sorry she was to hear about his loss.

Prior to his father’s death, Vince’s daughter, Skylar Lynnae Neil, from his marriage with fashion model Sharise Ruddell, lost her life while she was only four years old. Skylar was diagnosed with Wilm’s tumor, which is a kidney cancer affecting children. In 2018, Vince Neil’s mother Shirley passed away after a battle with stage four cancer.
Earlier in 2020, Neil and his long-time girlfriend Rain Hannah gave the news of their dog Cali Neil’s death. According to their claims, Cali was brutally murdered by their neighbor’s dogs in front of their house.
