Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi has shared a teaser of his upcoming new music. The first details for his new solo album are set to arrive on Wednesday, July 29.

“July 29th,” Tony Iommi wrote in the caption of his teaser video.
Iommi had previously spoken about the progress of his solo album, explaining how the landmark Black Sabbath reunion event temporarily put his personal project on hold.
“I was doing my own album until [the ‘Back To The Beginning’ event] came up, and then, of course, I had to stop and concentrate on [preparing for] the Sabbath [performance],” he said. “But I’m continuing on trying to finish off what I started with this album. And then who knows what I’m gonna do then? It’s great, really, ’cause if something pops up, I’ll do it, if I want to do it. So it’s a good thing.”
With the Sabbath commitments now behind him, Iommi appears ready to return his focus to solo work. Fans can expect the first official details to be revealed tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s announcement will go beyond a simple social media post. Iommi is set to discuss his new solo music during a YouTube livestream on July 29 at 7:30 a.m. PDT / 10:30 a.m. EDT / 3:30 p.m. BST. This will give fans a direct and personal look at what he has been working on.
