Tony Iommi Gives An Update On His Health Status After Getting Covid-19 Vaccine

In an interview with Consequence of Sound, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi confirmed that he has recently gotten the vaccine for Covid-19 and explained how his health condition has been lately.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, there has been a disagreement among many people regarding the necessity of wearing masks, keeping social distance, and now getting the vaccine. Even though the authorities strongly recommend people to get the vaccines for Covid-19, there are still many people who think it is not actually necessary.

Many musicians and celebrities have been announcing that they got the Covid-19 vaccine one after another, especially to encourage their fans to be vaccinated themselves. In a recent appearance for a conversation with Consequence of Sound, Black Sabbath icon Tony Iommi revealed that he has received the vaccine for Covid-19 as soon as possible considering his diagnosis with the early stages of lymphoma.

As you may recall, back in 2012, Iommi was diagnosed with the early stages of lymphoma and he underwent treatment for the disease which turned out to be successful. Fortunately, in 2016, Tony confirmed that cancer in his body was in remission and he was on the path to total recovery. A year later, the iconic guitarist underwent an operation to remove a lump from his throat which, according to his own statement, wasn’t cancerous.

During the recent conversation, Iommi stated that he always has himself checked over regularly to see if there is anything wrong. Apparently, his latest blood test was fine and he was feeling okay. Tony added at everything seemed to be, ‘touch wood,’ going all right at the moment.

Here is what Tony Iommi stated about his current health status:

“Hopefully okay. Funny enough, I had a blood test yesterday, and I also had my COVID virus vaccine jab yesterday, as well. I always have myself checked over regularly and try to keep on top of anything that might pop up. Of course, at my age, things pop up. But I feel fine and everything seems to be — touch wood — going all right at the moment.”
