After Maher asked Lee why Mötley Crüe had yet to receive the honor, the drummer started to explain why he and his bandmates didn’t care about the Rock Hall of Fame celebratory induction. He firmly said:

“That [Rock Hall of Fame] is weird. Actually, as the Rock Hall of Fame got bigger and more people were being inducted into this thing, after a while, it sort of lost its [prestige]; and [seeing] the people that were getting inducted, and you’re like, ‘Are you sure?'”

The rocker continued, explaining how Mötley Crüe would react to a possible induction:

“I don’t even know… We’ve always said to ourselves if they asked, we’d probably say, ‘[We are] not really interested.'”
