Tom Morello Pays Respect To An AC/DC Album, ‘One Of The Greatest And Most Powerful’

Tom Morello posted AC/DC’s photo on his official Instagram account to celebrate the anniversary of ‘Highway To Hell.’

Morello is best known for being the guitarist of the Los Angles rock band Rage Against The Machine. With the band, they have successfully sold 16 Million records until 2010. After they released their first self-titled album in 1992, they were ranked number 368 on Rolling Stone’s list of 500 greatest albums of all time. They also had a great influence on the nu-metal genre throughout their career.

The guitarist recently revealed his thoughts about another influential band, AC/DC. Morello stated that ‘Highway To Hell’ is one of the best records of all time while referring to both the song and the album. He found it appropriate to celebrate the release of this great record on the anniversary week of both the album and the title track.

He wrote in the caption of his post:

“This week in 1979 AC/DC’s ‘Highway To Hell’ was released. One of the greatest, most powerful, kick-ass rock n roll records of all time. This album, and particularly the title track, are an apex moment in rock history.”

‘Highway to Hell’ is one of the best-known songs of AC/DC and has hit many charts since the moment it was released. The album with the same title was also very important for the band because the lead singer of the band, Bon Scott, died shortly after its release.
