The Truth About Ozzy Osbourne’s Drinking Urine Scene In The Dirt

Black Sabbath lead vocalist Ozzy Osbourne had an infamous scene in the Mötley Crüe biographical movie ‘The Dirt’ in which he snorts a line of ants as well as drinking his own urine which was horrifying to watch for the audience, however, not something surprising to see Osbourne doing, considering the reputation he has built over the years with countless incidents.

As many of you might know, ‘The Dirt’ was a biographical comedy-drama movie about the notorious lifestyle of Mötley Crüe members starring Douglas Booth, Colson Baker, Daniel Webber, and Iwan Rheon, released on March 18, 2019. The movie revolves around the story of how the band members formed the band and became one of the most successful heavy metal bands of all time in addition to the band’s endless partying, drug and alcohol addiction, and destructive habits.

Despite the Netflix movie was all about the legendary band Mötley Crüe from the beginning to the end, one of the most memorable scenes throughout the whole film included a story when the band members encountered the Prince of Darkness by a pool and the rest is extremely hilarious as well as being disturbing. Let’s dig deeper into this notorious scene during which Osbourne pushed his limits of disgusting, even for himself.

Ozzy Osbourne Snorts A Line Of Ants And Licks His Own Urine Up

In the movie, the brilliant Tony Cavalero portrayed the young Ozzy Osbourne who showed up at the pool in a flower-patterned dress back in 1984 and as he was hanging around the pool, the iconic frontman gives the members of Mötley Crüe a series of advice on living their lives as rock stars and protecting themselves from the dangers of drugs and unprotected sex.

Despite starting out as a fun, friendly, and a little bizarre encounter, the whole scene starts getting way more disturbing when the Prince of Darkness asks the members of the band if they have any drugs, a bump of coke to be exact. Getting a negative answer, Ozzy Osbourne aims his straw to the ground and snorts a line of ants, just thinking it cannot get any worse than that, he actually pees on the ground and starts licking it, challenging Mötley Crüe bassist Nikki Sixx to do the same, turning things into urine licking competition.

Was The Ozzy Osbourne Scene Accurate?

Without a doubt, it was one of the most cringeworthy things to watch for the audience during the whole movie, however, fans also wanted to know if it was based on a real-life experience right after seeing the movie. According to the Mötley Crüe autobiography with the same name as the movie itself, the incident happened exactly depicted like in ‘The Dirt’ even with more details in the book with the words of Nikki Sixx.

Here is what the incident was written in the book by Sixx:

“I handed him the straw, and he walked over to a crack in the sidewalk and bent over it. I saw a long column of ants, marching to a little sand dugout where the pavement met the dirt. And as I thought, ‘No, he wouldn’t,’ he did. He put the straw to his nose and, with his bare white ass peeking out from under the dress like a sliced honeydew, sent the entire line of ants tickling up his nose with a single, monstrous snort.

He stood up, reared back his head, and concluded with a powerful rightnostriled sniff that probably sent a stray ant or two dripping down his throat. Then he hiked up the sundress, grabbed his dick, and pissed on the pavement. Without even looking at his growing audience—everyone on the tour was watching him while the old women and families on the pool deck were pretending not to—he knelt down and, getting the dress soggy in the puddle, lapped it up. He didn’t just flick it with his tongue, he took a half-dozen long, lingering, and thorough strokes, like a cat. Then he stood up and, eyes blazing and mouth wet with urine looked straight at me. ‘Do that, Sixx!'”

Despite all the band members insist on the fact that the notorious story happened just like they mention in the book and movie, during an interview with GQ Magazine last year, Ozzy Osbourne himself opened up whether the crazy scene in the Mötley Crüe movie of him snorting a line of ants really happened or not. Apparently, Osbourne doesn’t have a recollection of doing such things as he was too high to remember throughout his whole career, however, Ozzy himself stated that it was quite possible for him to do such a thing.

Here’s what Ozzy Osbourne stated once:

“That’s very possible, but I can’t remember.”

Although the iconic vocalist doesn’t remember the incident, his fans most likely believe the Mötley Crüe members as Osbourne has countless similar incidents throughout his music career such as the time he bit a bat’s head off during a live performance, thinking it was a stage prop, and allegedly bit the heads off of two live doves during a 1981 meeting with CBS Records executives while he was drunk and angry all of which lines up with the story of snorting ants and drinking his own urine.
