Behemoth released a one-minute teaser titled ‘T.S.O.G.’ on Christmas, poking at the religious significance of the holiday through imagery. The video, titled short for ‘The Sh*t of God,’ featured what sounded like vocals from unreleased material, hinting at something new in the works.
The band’s latest material, ‘Opvs Contra Natvram,’ came out in September 2022 through Nuclear Blast and received praise from critics. A press release at the time described the album as “a stark reminder of the rebellion, individuality, and unflinching self-expression that Behemoth’s phenomenal work imbues, shaped by a literary worldview.”
About a year later, vocalist Adam ‘Nergal’ Darski confirmed on the ‘Everblack’ podcast that they were working on new music, saying that 2024 would be fully focused on Behemoth’s projects.
In addition to studio work, the band announced a European tour with Satyricon and Rotting Christ this year. The tour starts on April 4 at the Gasometer in Vienna and ends on April 27 at the O2 Universum in Prague. See the full dates below.
