The Dead Daisies guitarist Doug Aldrich recently got interviewed by Rock Antenne, where he revealed his admiration for Taylor Swift. During the interview, while the guitarist was chatting about his favorite bands, he admitted to being blown away by a few Taylor Swift songs.
After mentioning Led Zeppelin as his favorite band, Aldrich revealed how he found out about the songs of the pop singer. He said:
“I can always listen to that. But at the same time, you know, I’ve got kids, so they are into other stuff. I just got some music in my daughter’s room, so she could have her space in her place, and all that, and I just put on, I didn’t know what to run, so I just got some Taylor Swift on a loop.”
He briefly shared his thoughts on Swift’s songs:
“I was actually really blown away by some of the Taylor Swift songs, I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s a great song.'”
It seems that the guitarist resembled her song to the earlier years’ music. Aldrich added:
“These are all the chord progressions we’ve heard from the 60s, 70s, 80s; but just a new coat of paint on it with a new face. Anyway, she liked it, so.”
Aldrich is not the only rock musician to admire the pop singer. Other famous names, including Ringo Starr, Dave Grohl, and Bruce Springsteen, have also expressed their admiration for Taylor Swift.
