In a recent conversation with Houston Life, Sully Erna invited Godsmack fans to experience a different side of their music in the upcoming Vibez Tour, an event he describes as perfect for a family outing.
The Vibez Tour is set to offer fans a more intimate concert experience, distinct from the high-energy rock shows the band is known for. Erna encourages fans of all ages, urging them to bring their parents, dates, or spouses to enjoy a sophisticated evening, as he said:
“It’s a nice kind of event to even take your family to — your moms, your dads. If you’re a kid or a teenager or in your 20s or 30s, and you happen to like Godsmack for the big, powerful rock shows that we usually do, then this is kind of the other side of that. This is the actual, the more intimate, sexy side, we can say, of the band versus the big angry ‘grrr’ [side].”
A Night Out For Everyone

The singer went on to explain their aim for this tour:
“This is something you can come to, take your parents or whoever you want, a date or your wife or whatever, have a nice glass of wine and watch a really cool musical performance, hear some cool stories, and just kind of take the journey with us. That’s what we wanna do on this tour, is really create a way to take the audience on a journey, a musical journey.”
The Concept Behind The Vibez Tour

Erna discussed the inspiration for the Vibez Tour during his December appearance on The Mistress Carrie Podcast, noting it as a departure from the band’s usual arena shows. This tour aims to keep the band and crew active during the off-season while offering a different musical experience.
The tour will not only feature a mix of acoustic and electric performances but also incorporate elements from Godsmack’s past tours, such as stage decor and memorabilia. The rocker noted:
“So it won’t be fully acoustic — there’s gonna be electric performances as well — but it’s gonna be a blend of all that: piano songs, acoustic songs, electric songs. We’re gonna mix in some really cool vibey covers. I don’t wanna give those away because we haven’t done ’em yet, for one, practiced them, so we wanna make sure that we can pull the ones we wanna do off.”
Highlighting the versatility of Godsmack’s music, the Vibez Tour will include both classic hits and tracks from their latest album, offering a comprehensive look at the band’s repertoire. Erna is excited to perform songs that don’t typically make the setlist for larger shows. The tour’s first leg will start on February 15 in Catoosa, Oklahoma, and the second one will begin on April 9 in Valley Center, California.
