Steve Morse Moves On To Solo Projects After Deep Purple Departure

As the world of rock music evolves, so do the lives and careers of its legendary musicians. After years of performing with Deep Purple, Morse has decided to shift his focus and return to his roots with the band that introduced the world to his supreme virtuosity over 30 years ago.

Morse’s decision to leave Deep Purple came at a time when his wife, Janine, was battling stage 4 cancer, prompting him to step back from performing with the band to be with her. Deep Purple has since hired Simon McBride to fill Steve’s spot for their upcoming tour.
