The surviving members of Soundgarden reunited on December 14, 2024, for a special performance at the SMooCH (Seattle Musicians for Children’s Hospital) benefit concert in Seattle. Guitarist Kim Thayil, bassist Ben Shepherd, and drummer Matt Cameron were joined on vocals by Seattle-based artist Shaina Shepherd.

For the event, the group performed under the name ‘Nudedragons,’ which is an anagram of ‘Soundgarden.’ This alias was previously used by the band during a 2010 reunion show. The performance marked a rare occasion for the members to play together following the passing of frontman Chris Cornell in 2017.

The SMooCH benefit concert, held annually, raises funds for Seattle Children’s Hospital’s uncompensated care fund. Tickets for the event quickly sold out, reflecting the strong support from fans and the local music community.
