Slayer recently announced that they added a second ‘Reign In Blood’ 40th-anniversary show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles due to overwhelming demand, as reported on Instagram.

The metal legends made the announcement to address the massive fan response to their initial anniversary show.

“Due to overwhelming demand, Slayer have added a second Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary show at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles on November 14, 2026,” the band announced. “Tickets won’t last and Slayer fans get first access with code RIB2026 tomorrow, 4/23 at 9AM PT. The announcement highlights the enduring popularity of Slayer’s iconic 1986 album. It also demonstrates the strong demand from their dedicated fanbase for these special anniversary performances.

This overwhelming response comes as no surprise given the significance of these rare performances. The band’s limited touring schedule in recent years has made these shows even more special. The Los Angeles shows represent a major event for the metal community, particularly as they mark the band’s first LA performance in seven years.

Louder Sound reported that Slayer will perform the landmark album Reign in Blood in its entirety at both anniversary concerts. The original November 13 date at the Kia Forum will feature an impressive lineup including Cannibal Corpse, Cavaleras (Max and Iggor) performing Sepultura’s Chaos A.D., and Crowbar as supporting acts.

The 40th anniversary celebration extends beyond just the Los Angeles shows. Loudwire noted that the band has also scheduled a September 4 performance at Mystic Lake Amphitheater in Shakopee, Minnesota, featuring Suicidal Tendencies, Down, and Hatebreed as support acts. Additionally, Slayer is celebrating the anniversary at two Sick New World festivals in 2026—Las Vegas on April 25 and Fort Worth, Texas on October 24.

The ticket sales process demonstrated the massive anticipation surrounding these shows. The PRP confirmed that the first Los Angeles date promptly sold out, necessitating the addition of the second show. The pre-sale opportunities included a Citi Presale on Tuesday, April 21 at 12 PM local time. An Artist Presale followed on Wednesday, April 22 at 10 AM local time using the password RIB2026.

Reign in Blood, released in 1986, stands as one of the most influential albums in thrash metal history. The album’s 29-minute runtime packed an unprecedented level of intensity and aggression that helped define the genre. For many fans, these anniversary shows represent a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness the complete album performed live by the original masters of extreme metal.
