Slaughter to Prevail’s Alex Terrible recently announced the band’s extensive touring plans for 2026 and confirmed they will take a two-year break from performing afterward. He shared this statement on Instagram.

The frontman outlined the band’s ambitious touring schedule for the year and explained their decision to step back from live performances to focus on creating new music.

“This year is going to be intense! We’ll be touring all year long! Our European tour is starting soon and will finish in Kazakhstan in February. Right after that, we’re heading out on a U.S. tour, with a couple of shows in Canada,” Alex Terrible said.

The vocalist detailed their extensive global touring plans for the remainder of 2026.

“Then we’ll return to Europe for festivals, and after that we plan to go back to the U.S. for more states and cities, as well as Canada again. After that, we want to visit Australia and Asia, and finally finish the year in Mexico and South America,” he continued.

Alex Terrible then explained the band’s plans for the following years and their reasoning behind the touring hiatus.

“In 2027, we plan to focus on working on a new album and do not plan to perform. We also don’t plan to tour in 2028. Thank you to everyone who buys tickets to our shows See you in your city and your country!” he concluded.

The announcement comes as Alex Terrible recently became a father. This adds personal context to the band’s decision to take time away from the road.

This touring hiatus marks a significant moment for the Russian deathcore outfit. The band has built an impressive international following since its formation.

Rough Trade reported that Slaughter to Prevail is a deathcore band hailing from Yekaterinburg, Russia, formed in 2014. The band has been making waves in the metal scene with their intense sound and powerful performances that have captivated audiences worldwide.

The current lineup features Alex Terrible on vocals alongside a talented group of musicians who have helped shape the band’s distinctive sound. Concerts50 noted that Slaughter To Prevail was formed by Russian vocalist Alex Terrible and British guitarist Jack Simmons. This created a unique international collaboration that has defined the band’s identity.

The band’s 2026 touring schedule includes confirmed dates across multiple continents. Specific shows have already been announced. Concerts50 confirmed that the band has a show in Toronto on April 18, 2026, as part of their extensive North American tour plans.

The decision to take a two-year break reflects the band’s commitment to artistic growth and personal well-being. Alex Terrible’s recent transition to fatherhood and the band’s desire to create new material make this hiatus strategic. The pause could lead to their most ambitious work yet when they return to the studio and eventually to the stage.
