Sebastian Bach has expressed his support for Billy Idol’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nomination in a recent Instagram post.

‘Vote for my pals Billy Idol and Steve Stevens for Rock Hall!’ Bach urged fans. ‘I have hung out with Billy many times over the decades. I can even remember some of these occasions.’

‘The first time I remember hanging with Billy Idol was backstage at Wembley when we played with Mötley Crüe. He got on stage to sing jailhouse rock, and it was a great party for all!’ he recalled. ‘I also remember one legendary time when we were opening for Guns N’ Roses at the LA Forum. Billy and I were the last two people in the building!’

‘I remember we looked at each other in some backstage dressing room. We said “Oh I guess we better split now because there’s nobody here anymore!”‘ Bach continued. ‘We closed down the LA Forum together. Good luck Billy and Steve, who I’ve been collaborating with on my records for years now! I’m glad to call you guys my friends. The Rock Hall could use some real rock!’

Bach’s support for Idol’s nomination stems from years of shared history in the rock music scene.

Metal Paths revealed that Steve Stevens has served as Billy Idol’s primary collaborator and guitarist since the early 1980s. Their partnership has produced iconic hits that shaped rock music’s landscape.

The relationship between Bach and Idol runs deeper than casual encounters. The Aquarian documented Bach’s enduring connections with both Idol and Stevens. Bach has frequently collaborated with Stevens on his solo projects.

Their shared history features several memorable performances. The Wembley Stadium show with Mötley Crüe stands out particularly. Loudwire highlighted this event as one of the era’s most discussed rock performances.

Bach’s endorsement of Idol’s Rock Hall nomination reflects their parallel journeys through rock music. Both artists have maintained their influence from the 1980s glam metal era to contemporary rock.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s Class of 2024 nominees include Billy Idol among other notable artists. Fan voting remains active for the selection process.
