Sebastian Bach revealed the primary factor hindering Skid Row’s comeback during a new chat with David Yontef of the Behind The Velvet Rope podcast.
When asked about the possibility of reuniting with the original Skid Row members, the vocalist gave his response, saying:
“Well, I do think so because I really think that the main reason that that hasn’t happened is because of business. We haven’t been in the same room since 1996. That’s a fact. So I don’t have anything against anybody from 1996. I don’t even barely remember 1996 [Laughs]. So, I mean, the fact that we’re all still alive, I would say, yes, I think if we can figure out the business side of it, then there’s no reason why not to.”
Discussing Therapy And Band Dynamics

Bach released a new solo single featuring Rob Affuso, the original Skid Row drummer, hinting at a mini-reunion. He noted that both his band and the current Skid Row have some original members and laughed about the effort to reunite more. He then discussed what would be needed for a full reunion of the original band members, explaining:
“I’m sure you’ve seen the Metallica documentary ‘Some Kind Of Monster’ where they have all the therapist and everybody. ‘We have to stop at 4 p.m.’ I’m sure you’ve seen that. It’s all about the band working with a therapist. Skid Row never worked with a therapist. We didn’t have anybody at all trying to help us out or be a mediator — that never happened ever.”
The singer added, giving other band examples besides Metallica:
“So, I don’t understand when I read, like, a book on Aerosmith or a book on Mötley Crüe or a book on the Red Hot Chili Peppers, all these bands have therapists that work stuff out in between the band members. I don’t understand why we never even tried anything like that. We can’t even text each other. Well, why does every other band get [a therapist], but we don’t? So that kind of pisses me off a bit.”
Bach’s Optimism And Rob Affuso’s Insights

Speaking to New Jersey radio station WDHA in a recent interview, Bach hinted that a reunion with the original Skid Row is possible since everyone is alive and healthy. He mentioned not being in touch with his former bandmates for a long time and suggested that business reasons might be preventing the reunion.
Ex-Skid Row drummer Rob Affuso also mentioned in a new chat that a Skid Row reunion was nearly planned a few years back, with dates set for the summer. However, it fell through due to what he called ‘stupid’ reasons that could have been resolved. He noted that the difficulty in reuniting all original members lies in some not wanting it to happen.
