“If I were going to pick a favorite Creed record, it would probably be ‘Human Clay,’ I think,” Phillips said. “I think that was when we were really firing on all cylinders and still staying true to ourselves.”

“It’s not that we weren’t in the past that, but it’s a polished raw energy,” he continued. “You know, and then after that it just kind of got polished.”
