Falling in Reverse singer Ronnie Radke has responded to claims made by Catfish host Nev Schulman regarding a catfish scandal involving Tommy Lee’s wife Brittany Furlan. He shared his response in a video posted on Instagram.

Radke’s statement addressed Schulman’s comments about his trustworthiness and challenged the host’s bias in the situation.

“Nev Schulman, you’re literally lying,” Radke said. “[He’s] saying that he pretty much spoke to my ex-girlfriend Saraya regarding this whole thing and pretty much implied that I’m known for lying and I’m a liar because of what I’ve done to this person and that person.”

Radke questioned Schulman’s approach to examining evidence in the matter.

“What happened to looking at the evidence? You don’t want to see the evidence?” he continued. “You’re so biased that you admitted to being friends with Brittany and you want to come on here and say I’m lying and say that my ex is saying that when it never happened? You’re a liar.”

The singer then drew attention to what he sees as a double standard based on gender.

“I don’t know how many times I’ve been gaslight. Imagine if this happened to a woman, where a guy was doing what this woman is doing to me, but it was a guy doing it to a girl saying, ‘I have videos of you naked,'” Radke said. “F*cking revenge p*rn, which isn’t true. Imagine a guy doing this. Imagine a guy showing up to this girl’s house. Imagine a girl filing a restraining order. Imagine all this reversed. What would you guys think of that? You guys wanna laugh and play games because I’m some dude. It’s insane, man.”

This response follows Schulman’s earlier comments where he stated he was inclined to believe the women involved in the situation over Radke.

Catfish host Nev Schulman said, “I don’t know Ronnie personally, but from what I’ve heard from both of these women [Brittany Furlan and Saraya] — and I’m inclined to believe the women — he may not be the most trustworthy, caring and truthful, honest guy. If I had to choose who’s telling the truth here and who’s more likely to be using this whole situation to benefit them, even if it means it comes at the cost of others, I’m inclined to side with Brittany.”

The controversy has deeper roots than initially apparent. Multiple parties have established relationships that predate the current scandal.

Loudwire reported that Schulman revealed he has known both Furlan and Radke’s ex-girlfriend Saraya for several years. He spoke with both women in the days leading up to his public remarks about the scandal. This longstanding relationship adds context to Schulman’s position in the dispute and may explain his stated inclination to side with the women involved.

The Catfish host’s approach to the situation has been notably informal. He admitted he did not conduct a formal investigation into the allegations. Loudwire noted that Schulman said it would be difficult to obtain proof from Snapchat because messages disappear over time. Instead, his opinion was influenced by his personal view that Furlan and Saraya are “nice, genuine people.”

The scandal has also highlighted the private nature of the alleged relationship. Schulman revealed that most of the information he had came directly from Furlan. Loudwire indicated that Furlan would have preferred to keep the alleged online relationship private. This suggests the public nature of the controversy may not have been her initial intention.

Meanwhile, Saraya has been focusing on her personal life and future relationships. PWMania reported that she recently explained what she wants in her next relationship. She reflected on how comfort levels in past relationships have shaped her outlook and added her trademark humor to discussions about her romantic future.
