Ronnie Radke recently explained why he fired ex-Falling in Reverse guitarist Max Georgiev last year. He made serious allegations against the former band member in a statement shared on Reddit.

The Falling in Reverse frontman’s statement addressed the reasons behind Georgiev’s dismissal from the band. He made serious accusations about the guitarist’s past behavior.

“For those that are wondering why I fired Max Georgiev, the guitarist, it’s because he admitted to sleeping with a minor 10 years before he was in my band when he was 27 years old,” Ronnie Radke said. “Have fun with that.”

Following Radke’s public statement, the former guitarist responded with his own statement defending himself against the allegations.

“To the fans, I have never done anything illegal with a minor,” Max Georgiev responded. “Fifteen years ago, when I was 23, I still lived in Quebec, Canada. Since then, I have played for several bands who never mentioned inappropriate behavior on my part. I have always had great respect for the fans. I have strived to play my heart out for you.”

After revealing his claims about Georgiev, Ronnie Radke’s Instagram account was subsequently banned from the platform. Radke talked about the ban during a live stream, which was shared by fans on TikTok. The singer said, “Maybe me talking about my old guitar player getting fired for finding out he was hooking up with minors… I think that AI might’ve caught that and was like, ‘You gotta go’.”

The controversy has shed light on the circumstances surrounding Georgiev’s departure from the band. It has also revealed its impact on Falling in Reverse’s operations.

Loudwire reported that Radke revealed additional details about how he discovered the alleged situation. The frontman said he first learned about the incident through Georgiev’s then-girlfriend. He claimed that the parents of the minor confronted Georgiev at the time.

The timing of Georgiev’s dismissal created significant challenges for the band’s touring schedule. Loudwire noted that Radke fired Georgiev immediately before Falling in Reverse’s 2024 tour in support of their album Popular Monster. This forced Radke to track the guitarist’s parts himself for the first two shows until a replacement could be found.

The Instagram ban that followed Radke’s public statements appears to be connected to the platform’s content moderation policies. Loudwire stated that Radke later speculated that his comments about “my old guitar player getting fired for finding out he was hooking up with minors” may have triggered Instagram’s automated moderation system.

The incident highlights the ongoing challenges that bands face when dealing with internal conflicts. It also shows the impact of social media platforms’ content policies on public discourse. Falling in Reverse has continued their touring and recording activities despite the personnel change. This demonstrates the band’s resilience in the face of controversy.
