The Falling in Reverse frontman pointed to the song’s performance on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and its YouTube views as evidence for his claim. He did not provide specific dates or details about the other achievements he was referencing.

“‘Joseph’ is literally biggest metal song of last 20 years and there’s nothing you can do about it, lmao,” Radke said.

Fans responded positively to the song. One commenter praised the track’s musicianship and Radke’s current output. “Because the song f*cking slaps. Awesome vocals w/ gnarly guitar riffs and double bass, what’s not to love?! If you don’t like it hit don’t like metal or you don’t like Ronnie but you can’t deny the homie is absolutely just crushing it right now,” the fan wrote.

Another listener noted the trajectory of Radke’s recent releases. “That is absolutely crazy. Every release gets bigger and bigger,” they said.

Radke made these comments as “Joseph” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart and 25 million views on YouTube.

The song marks a collaboration between three well-known figures in rock and metal music.

“Joseph” marks the very first time Corey Taylor and Serj Tankian have performed together on the same song. Radke brought the two vocalists together by sending them both the track at the exact same time. The song moves through different genres and emotional moments that connect to each artist’s background, with big breakdowns, rapid vocal passages, and intense screaming that recall their respective bands’ styles.

This collaboration continues Radke’s pattern of high-profile features for Falling in Reverse. The band released Popular Monster in 2024, which has gathered four billion streams and is nearly platinum. Before “Joseph,” the band put out “God Is a Weapon” with Marilyn Manson in 2024. The track “Joseph” is also the second single in an apparent series based on Radke’s full legal name, Ronald Joseph Radke, following the 2024 song “Ronald.”
