Ringo Starr Makes A Big Mistake In His Latest IG Post, Luckily His Fans Fix It

The Beatles’ drummer Ringo Starr shared a post on his official Instagram page remembering the day when the band performed on The Ed Sullivan Show 57 years ago today, however, Starr made a mistake in the caption section by stating that it was 50 years ago, thankfully, his fans corrected his confusion in the comments section.

As many of you know, The Ed Sullivan Show was ranked number 15 on TV Guides 50 Greatest TV Shows of All Time and had a huge impact on people during the time it was broadcasted which was from June 20, 1948, to June 6, 1971. The show was known for having a few of the most famous artists back then, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, and many more.

The Beatles also performed three songs of theirs, ‘Twist and Shout,’ ‘Please Please Me,’ and ‘I Want To Hold Your Hand’ on The Ed Sullivan Show on three continuous Sundays in February 1964. The broadcast drew an estimated 73 million viewers, at the time a record for US television despite the fact that it was all pre-recorded.

More than five decades later, Ringo Starr shared a post on his official Instagram page to remember the day when The Beatles was on The Ed Sullivan Show, however, Starr made a mistake by stating that it was 50 years ago in his statement in the caption section which was a huge slip for his fans.

Luckily, his fans poured dozens of comments fixing Starr’s mistake and stating that it was 57 years ago. After seeing the comments of his fans, Ringo Starr changed his statement in the caption section and re-wrote the year in which The Beatles started the British Invasion in music.

Here is what Starr said:

“Wow, 57 years ago today we came to play the Ed Sullivan show it was a beautiful day for me being in America I send you all peace and love peace and love.”

Here is what a fan said before the correction:

“U LOOK GREAT RINGO, but I don’t think it’s been 50 years….. more like 57 lol”

Here is what another said:

“Who’s gonna tell him it wasn’t 50 years ago
