Ringo Starr Cancels Upcoming Shows Due To His COVID Diagnosis

Ringo Starr recently posted on Instagram and announced that he had to postpone several concerts as he was recently diagnosed with COVID-19.

As you may know, Ringo Starr founded a supergroup named All Starr after the Beatles’ disbandment and has continued his music career with an ever-changing line-up. The band has been performing since the 1980s but had to cancel most of their 30th-anniversary world tour dates due to COVID-19. It was known that the rock icon was very cautious about the pandemic. This year, after the easing of the restrictions, Starr decided to return to the stage with his All Starr band.

The former Beatle was on tour with his band and had several stops in North America. They recently took the stage last Friday, October 30. On Saturday night, Starr was supposed to appear in Michigan with his bandmates, but only hours before his scheduled performance, the venue said the event had been postponed. Rumors began to circulate about the cancellation of the other concerts.

With his recent Instagram post, Ringo Starr confirmed that the 82-year-old rock musician contracted COVID-19 and the upcoming shows in North America will be canceled. It was disclosed that the famous musician is in the recovery process at home and hopes to hit the road again soon. New updates about the concerts can be found on their website.
