In a recent interview with SiriusXM’s Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk, Poison drummer Rikki Rockett has responded to the concerns about the band’s 40th anniversary tour. During the chat, Trunk told the drummer that Bret Michaels sent him a message about the tour and asked for his thoughts.

“Yeah, absolutely. 2026 is for sure gonna happen unless some unforeseen thing happens but all band members said ‘Yeah we’re definitely doing it without a doubt.'”

The drummer’s words came after he said the anniversary tour wasn’t sorted out yet. “It’s not figured out. We have agreed to do a minimum of 40 dates and maybe more,” he revealed. “So whatever it works out to be, but it’s for sure gonna be that many, at least. And I don’t know.”

He added, “I mean, if there’s somebody that we can package with that makes sense, great. If there isn’t, then we’ll headline. Whatever makes sense. I don’t know who’s going out yet that year, in ’26, but if it makes sense to package with somebody, we’ll do it.”

Earlier in September, Michaels shared on social media that he plans to do only a few shows in 2025, he wants to focus on his health, as he has diabetes and needs some rest. He mentioned that 2026 would be a great time for a Poison 40th-anniversary tour.

Michaels’ statement came two days after drummer Rockett posted on social media, saying that Bret no longer wanted to tour with Poison in 2025. On September 10, Rockett explained on Facebook that people kept asking why Poison wasn’t touring in 2025. He said that Michaels simply didn’t want to tour.

Rockett later clarified on Facebook that he never said Bret was canceling the 2025 tour, just that it wasn’t scheduled. He wanted to clear up any confusion and avoid blame being placed on him or the other band members.
