Till Lindemann, the singer of German rock band Rammstein, has been legally cleared following a defamation case brought against him. The Regional Court of Hamburg issued a judgment on October 24, 2025, restraining Shelby Lynn from making allegations against Lindemann and the band. This decision was shared on Instagram.

The case originated from accusations made by Shelby Lynn, a fan from Northern Ireland who attended a Rammstein concert in Vilnius on May 22, 2023. She alleged on social media that her drink was drugged at a party organized by the band. She also claimed that she was physically abused while unconscious. These claims sparked widespread international backlash against Lindemann and the band.

In its ruling, the court found that Shelby Lynn failed to provide sufficient evidence to support her allegations. “The Regional Court founds the prohibition on the fact that the statements quoted above are allegations of fact that have been found in legal proceedings to be untrue,” the statement explained. “As she alleges unconscionable conduct, the Court held that Shelby Lynn is subject to the burden of producing evidence for and proving the accuracy of her statements. She did not discharge this burden.”

The court noted that Shelby Lynn’s oral testimony during the hearing on August 22, 2025, did not convince the judges. She has been prohibited by court order from making such accusations against Lindemann and Rammstein.

This Hamburg court decision marks a significant development in a case that has drawn international attention. Multiple legal investigations across different jurisdictions have been sparked by the allegations. The musician and his legal team have consistently denied all claims of wrongdoing.

Lithuanian authorities opened a pre-trial defamation investigation against Shelby Lynn following her public accusations. Lindemann’s legal team consistently denied all allegations and threatened to pursue legal action against accusers for defamation.

The investigation extended beyond Lithuania’s borders. The German public prosecutor’s office initially investigated the sexual assault claims but later dropped the case due to lack of evidence. This decision by German authorities preceded the Hamburg court’s defamation ruling by several months.

Shelby Lynn’s account included details about a selection process for backstage access known as “Row Zero.” This became a focal point in media discussions surrounding the allegations. However, the Hamburg court’s judgment established that her specific claims regarding the Vilnius concert could not be substantiated in legal proceedings. The court-ordered prohibition now prevents her from repeating these allegations.

With this ruling, Lindemann and Rammstein have achieved a legal victory. They have cleared their names from the defamation claims that emerged from the May 2023 concert incident.
