Pantera’s Phil Anselmo met a lookalike of Dimebag Darrell during a recent show.

During the band’s show at CFG Bank Arena Baltimore on February 24, the frontman spotted a fan with big curly hair, resembling the fan to the early days of the late rocker. Anselmo pointed at the fan and indicated that it might be a sign of reincarnation. Before starting to play ‘F*cking Hostile,’ he said:

“Some people might believe in reincarnation and stuff like that. There could be a younger Dimebag right up front… Dude, just shake your head like that and everybody in the whole place will see it. Hey, turn up the lights here. Show ’em. Look at that guy.”

He resembled the fan’s appearance to the first days of meeting Dimebag:

“When I first met Dime, his lid was exactly that length.”

The Upcoming Tours

Pantera reunited towards the end of 2022, featuring Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante stepping into the roles previously held by Dimebag and Vinnie Paul. The band concluded a headline North American tour with final performances on February 26th in Toronto and February 27th in Quebec City. In the upcoming summer, they will continue their journey by supporting Metallica on the next North American leg of the latter’s ‘M72 World Tour.’
