Paul McCartney has returned to social media to make a ‘very special announcement’ to his fans.
The Beatle shared news about his ‘Got Back’ tour on X (formerly Twitter) with a video announcement. He said:
“Hi, Paul McCartney here. I’m heading back out on tour with a very special announcement for you. I’m adding one fan and a friend to my VIP guestlist on the final show of my ‘Got Back’ tour in Rio de Janeiro, in Brazil. I’m setting you up with VIP tickets, access to the soundcheck, and to the meet and greet. It’s gonna be great.”
McCartney also assured his fans that all the entries will support his non-profit campaign:
“Every entry supports Meat Free Mondays, making a difference to people, animals, and the planet. It’s a cause very close to my heart, and I thank you for your support.”
Fans need to donate at least 10 dollars to gotbackvip.com, which will go to support Meat Free Mondays. The non-profit campaign was launched in 2009 by Paul, Mary, and Stella McCartney with the aim to ‘create a simple and accessible way for everyone beginning the journey to greener and healthier eating.’
The tour will start on October 18 in Australia, and he will perform a number of shows before heading to Mexico and Brazil to wrap it up on December 16, in Rio de Janeiro.
