Pantera has announced a special two-day festival called The Great NOLA Trendkill. The festival will take place at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana, on November 20–21. The news was shared by Instagram, with the lineup also featuring Down, Black Label Society, Power Trip, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar, Pig Destroyer, Eyehategod, Rāde and Herakleion.
The announcement marks the band’s return to the city after three decades and details the full lineup for the event.
“NEW ORLEANS, IT’S TIME TO GET LOUD!” Pantera said. “For the first time in 30 years, Pantera returns to New Orleans for The Great NOLA Trendkill at Lakefront Arena, November 20 & 21.”
The band went on to describe the scale of the event’s lineup.
“This is not just a lineup; it’s a takeover,” Pantera continued. “Pantera, DOWN, Black Label Society, Power Trip, Corrosion of Conformity, Crowbar, Pig Destroyer, Eyehategod, Rāde and Herakleion.”
Ticket details were also shared as part of the announcement.
“Artist Presale (STARTS NOW): Tuesday, September 8 at 12pm CST through Thursday, September 10 at 10pm CST,” Pantera added. “PW: NOLA. Tickets go on sale Friday, September 11 at 10am CST.”
The Great NOLA Trendkill also doubles as a celebration of the 30th anniversary of Pantera’s 1996 album The Great Southern Trendkill, tying the festival’s name directly to that record’s legacy.
Lakefront Arena, also known as UNO Lakefront Arena, opened in 1983 and has served as a major entertainment and sports venue in New Orleans for more than four decades.
Several acts on the bill—including Down, Crowbar and Eyehategod—have strong New Orleans connections, reinforcing the festival’s identity as a hometown metal gathering.
Pantera’s current touring lineup features Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown alongside Zakk Wylde on guitar and Charlie Benante on drums. They will headline the two-night event in November.
