Ozzy Osbourne is a big The Beatles fan, and apparently, meeting Paul McCartney was divine.

In the latest episode of The Osbournes Podcast, Osbourne shared a memorable encounter with the bassist Beatle, likening the experience to meeting Jesus. He said:

“I’m a big Beatle fan and when I first met Paul McCartney, it was like meeting Jesus Christ.”

He then went on to share a ‘special’ moment he encountered with McCartney:

“He was a very nice man. And when I got a Grammy, he followed up with my producer to congratulate me. That was very, very special.”

The Beatles Were The Start Of Ozzy’s Career

Just at the age of 15, the Black Sabbath rocker heard the Beatles’ ‘She Loves You,’ the song that changed everything for him. The track inspired him to be a singer, and he even persuaded his father, Jack, to purchase a PA system and a microphone for him.

In an earlier interview, the singer reflected on that time and recalled:

“My dad knew I was an avid, passionate Beatles fan. I loved them. They were the reason why.”

Osbourne, some time after placing an advert in a local music shop, was enlisted as the lead singer by guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler, whom he later created Black Sabbath with. Ultimately, Black Sabbath became a world-renowned band.
