Owen Wilson Shares The Consequence Of Pushing Mick Jagger’s Limits

Fans of Owen Wilson were in for a treat when the beloved actor appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden recently. With the release of his new movie, ‘Paint,’ just around the corner on April 7, Wilson was there to discuss the film and other fun anecdotes from his life. Among the various topics that came up, a particularly memorable one was his encounter with Mick Jagger at a Rolling Stones concert.

During the interview, Wilson shared a hilarious story about a time he pushed the boundaries with Mick Jagger at a concert in Argentina. As it turns out, Wilson was ‘kind of friendly’ with some of the band members and had a friend who was close to Jagger. This connection granted him special all-access laminates that were supposed to be good for life.

With his all-access pass in hand, Wilson decided to test its limits. He ventured into various areas of the concert venue, and surprisingly, no one stopped him. As he watched the concert, he found himself standing in a spot that was actually part of the stage.

Owen described the situation in his own words:

“I went to see the Rolling Stones in Argentina, and I was kind of friendly with some of the band, and then my friend was really good friends with Mick Jagger, and we got these special laminates, kind of All Access that were good for the rest of your life.

I’m gonna walk over here and see if anybody stops me, and no one would stop me any place. I’m kind of watching, and then all of a sudden, he bolts during ‘Jumping Jack Flash’ and comes running down… and it turns out where I was was kind of part of the stage. I just sort of froze and, you know, tried to be inconspicuous, and he kind of came down and then left. And then someone came running over, [screaming] ‘Get out of here! Move! You’re not supposed to be here!’ And I was, ‘You know, I didn’t know! I’m so sorry!’”

The story didn’t end there, however. The next morning, Wilson received a call from Mick Jagger’s security team, asking him to return the all-access laminate. They wanted to ensure that he wouldn’t cause any more distractions during their performances.

Owen shared how he felt about the situation and his understanding of Jagger’s concerns, saying:

“Then I get a call the next morning from Mick’s security team, asking, ‘Do you have that laminate?’ ‘Yes, I still have it.’ ‘Okay, we’re going to come over and pick it up.’

I get it, you know, he has a show to do, he doesn’t need some bozo kind of just cruising around, distracting him.”

Owen Wilson’s amusing tale of his rock star interaction serves as a reminder that even celebrities have their own awkward and unforgettable moments. Whether he’s starring in a new movie or sharing stories on late-night talk shows, it’s clear that Wilson’s charm and wit never fail to entertain audiences.
