Orgy has abruptly departed the remaining dates of the Rob Zombie/Marilyn Manson tour. Frontman Jay Gordon announced the news in a statement. The band was serving as the opening act for the final stretch of this year’s “Freaks On Parade Tour” before stepping away.
Gordon’s announcement addressed the sudden exit without going into specifics about what led to the decision.
“I want to let everyone know that Orgy has made the difficult decision to step away from the remaining dates of the RZ/MM tour,” Gordon said. “Circumstances arose that made continuing no longer workable for us, and although I’m not able to discuss the details, this was not a decision we made lightly.”
Gordon went on to thank fans and fellow performers for their support throughout the run.
“I’m grateful to everyone who supported us and came out to the shows,” he continued. “We have tremendous respect for the all the bands, fans, musicians, and hardworking crews involved, and we look forward to sharing what’s next for Orgy very soon via new music and shows. See ya on the 26th!”
Orgy’s exit comes on a tour that spanned much of the North American festival calendar this year. The band’s departure lands right at the finish line of an already extensive schedule.
“Freaks On Parade” launched as a 21-date co-headlining trek between Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson. The tour kicked off on August 20 in West Palm Beach and was scheduled to close on September 20 in Concord, California. Orgy joined The HU as support acts across the bulk of the tour, rounding out a bill that leaned heavily into industrial and hard rock.
Not every stop featured the full lineup. The show at BECU Live at Northern Quest in Airway Heights, Washington on September 16 ran without The HU on the bill, leaving Orgy as the sole opener for that date. That gap in the schedule underscores how the tour’s supporting cast shifted even before Orgy’s own announcement.
Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson are expected to continue with the tour’s remaining dates as planned. It remains unclear whether a replacement act will step in to fill the opening slot.
For now, the circumstances behind Orgy’s exit remain undisclosed. Gordon’s statement leaves the door open for the band to return to the stage soon. He pointed fans toward new material and future shows rather than dwelling on the reasons for the abrupt split.
