After a 5-year hiatus, the possibility of getting a new Bring Me The Horizon album this year seems high.

The band’s singer, Oli Sykes, and drummer, Mat Nicholls, spoke in an interview conducted by NME, revealing the latest news about the album they are working on. In response to a question about when the new album will be released, Oly assured fans that their wait would be well rewarded, saying:

“Every time we think we’ve got it, we get another song, and it’s, like, ‘Oh.’ It’s gonna be very good though. It’s like the best album ever. So it’ll be worth the wait.”

Oly has quite high expectations for the new album.

What We Can Expect From The New Album

Briefly touching on the songwriting process, Oli mentioned that the album is almost ready. At this point, drummer Mat intervened and continued:

“It’s not quite finished, but it’s closer than it has ever been. We came back off tour and built a studio in Sheffield and, yeah, just cracked on, got our heads down and everyone pulled together. And, yeah, we’re getting there. It’s this close.”
